This is the first time a corner of my house actually looks like it might pass as part of a Real Simple photo spread. Every time I walk up the stairs and pass this corner I giggle with delight.

I was at a friend's house the other day and she asked if I needed a nightstand. DO I?! Actually, I didn't really need a nightstand, but I understood her to mean "Do you happen to need free furniture?" Who doesn't need free furniture of any variety?

Turns out the stand fits perfectly in a corner just outside of the bathroom (in case you were wondering why I kept toilet paper on my nightstand ... )

It's almost as cool and convenient as the bed frame I recently built out of 12 Rubbermaid containers and some unused cupboard doors ... (you all think I am joking ... until you remember whose blog this is ... )
