So late one Friday night a while back, Jay and I were watching the only channel we get in Squamish, which meant we were watching WWE pro wrestling, and there was this huge (no, seriously, I mean huge ... 6 foot 9 ... 430 pounds) black dude called Big Daddy V.

So Jay looks at Big Daddy V., then looks at me and says "If I were a wrestler, I would go by the name 'The Great White North.'"

OK, if you have met my hubby, you know right away that this is the BEST wrestling name ever. EVER.

But I have to say, I was a little jealous. I want a wrestling name too.

So of course, I go online and google 'wrestling names' and lo and behold, wrestlingname.com pops up! Even better, there's a name generator just for the ladies.

And what is my diva pro wrestling name?

IVORY NOVA.

Oh. My. God. The only wrestling name in the world better than this, is The Great White North.

Can you imagine us as a tag team?

"Ladies and gentlemen, over in the left corner, with a combined weight of a Ford Fiesta, here to defend their sixth consecutive Smackdown title, IVORY NOVA and THE GREAT WHITE NORTH!"

But, alas, I am not a pro wrestler. And I think if I got in the ring with Big Daddy V, he would eat me as an appetizer.

So, I have decided that Ivory Nova will be my sliding name. I tested it out at practice today. I signed up as Michelle "Ivory Nova" Bartleman. And the tower rolled with it:

"Ivory Nova to skeleton start."

"Track is clear for Ivory Nova at skeleton start."

Makes you sit up and pay attention, doesn't it?
