Okay. So THAT was the scariest run of my life.

As we were warming up for our training runs today, the fog rolled in, which I didn't think much of, considering it didn't look a whole lot different from Winterberg last week.

So I run off the start block, ready for another regular training run in Altenberg (you know, try to get down without dying ... ) and as I am come out of curve nine, heading down the straightaway toward the Corner of Death (aka Kreisel) I realize that it is so foggy that I actually can not see the next corner. Okay, for serious, when you are headed toward a corner that absolutely insists you enter early or it will wipe the roof with you, then spit you out upside down before promptly breaking your face, being able to see the entrance of the corner is ... ummm .. desirable.

On the up side, not being able to see more than a few metres ahead of you is really good for your form ... when there's nothing to see, you have nothing to lose by sticking your chin on the ice and just taking what comes at you.

Regardless, I think I will vote for visibility over form advantages in the future. Because, seriously, that was terrifying.
