MAY 30 | 2009 Squamish Garage Sailing Circuit: Week 7
Summary: This was one of those weeks where you crossed something off of your garage-sailing wish list that you were thoroughly convinced would be impossible to find. Like, say, ohhhh ... I don't know ... glass fish attached to floating glass balls to put in your quasi-aquarium to keep the plants company, since they are the only things that refuse to die.
I have also discovered that garage sales are a great place to get music, as people are chucking out CDs by the dozen since the advent of iTunes. So I managed to cash in on a four-for-a-dollar deal, although when we are speaking about my tastes in music, it might be somewhat risky for me to identify the artists whose creative efforts I acquired, for fear of ridicule and/or harassment. So to keep myself safe, I will instead give them the pseudonyms of Sweat Fiddler, Man Car Bin and Fart Schema with Pride.
The tally:
- 2 floating glass fish ($0.25 ech)
- 4 CDs ($1)
- Bakers` racks ($0.25 each)
Total: $2.00
Husband Tolerance Alert Level: Low The music just gets ripped and added to iTunes, the fish get plopped in the already existing plant aquarium and the bakers racks mean more spaces for cookies to cool. No one can complain this week.
Find of the Week: Definitely the floating glass fish.
