Okay, I have lived in the Vancouver/Lower Mainland/Sea to Sky Corridor for five years and in that time I have been witness to a grand total of three thunderstorms. We get a heck of a lot of rain here, but only in the form of endless weeks of drizzly showers.

So yesterday afternoon, when the forecasts were calling for thunder and lightning, I was understandably sceptical. But when the towering cumulus clouds rolled in during the evening I was giddy. We got it all ... thunder, lighting, hail, torrential downpours. It was FABULOUS!

Now I have about two to three years, before the next thunderstorm, to convince my dear hubby that he really DOES want to come out and play in the puddles with me ...
