For reasons that remain unexplained, I have recently decided to torture myself on a semi-regular basis by running to the gym for my workouts, and then back home afterward, a total of about 6.4 km (or four miles for the metric-impaired).

My old sneakers just weren't cut out for the task. So I gots me some new ones!

Just for the record, these runners are FREAKIN' AWESOME. They are neon red Brooks Cascadias, with lime green highlights and a perfectly ridiculous amount of polka dots. And I LOVE THEM.

So if I were you, I would think very hard before deciding to disagree with me. I'm looking at you MOM.

Also, if I get mugged and left for dead while running underneath the creepy bridge on the way to the gym, the police will have no trouble identifying my body. Or finding the jerk who stole my shoes. Whichever applies.
