Well ... I mean ... I did have a few glasses of wine (with an American lady who owns a restaurant in Mexico) on the train from Vancouver to Seattle ...

... then chilled out with my buddy James in all the advant garde architecture and design that is the Seattle Public Library ...

I just made cookies, scaling the recipe by two thirds because I only had 1/2 cup of brown sugar instead of the 3/4 cup that was called for.

First of all, let's marvel at the fact that I was able to figure out that the difference between 1/2 and 3/4 is 2/3 without having an aneurysm.

Well ... THAT was a weird day.This morning, I woke up with the sole purpose of driving to North Vancouver to have an asthma attack.

If you have ever traveled by car with me on a journey that is any longer than an hour, you are probably more familiar with my bladder size and capacity than you care to be. That being said, I can attest to the fact that I have visited my share of little girl's rooms in my day.

So after a few ice teas and a couple glasses of water (and there is a slight possibly that a gin and tonic may have made its way into the mix) at a restaurant called the Cactus Club, I obviously needed to excuse myself from the dinner table.

Now, when I go to the Squamish Chamber of Commerce monthly luncheons, I have a PERMANENT name tag waiting there for me. Gone are the days of wearing a "Hello, my name is ... " sticker. That's how legitimate my business is now. Next stop, Fortune 500.

(Yes, I went into the bathroom and took a picture of myself wearing my shiny new name tag. How else was I supposed to bring this exciting news to cyberspace? Geez.)
