So, my passport expired and obviously I need a new one. I filled all the paperwork out at home, and then figured it would be easier to just bring it to a Passport Office here in Calgary this week, instead of having to drive into Vancouver.

In the continuing saga of reigniting the spark of our youthful days, it was my turn to execute my romantic encounter, number 64 "Recipes Your Mother Never Told You About." My task was to throw a "Sweetheart's Day" party.

So I did.

I had a little help from my sister. For our birthdays a few weeks ago, Louise sent us a pre-made Party-in-a-box:

Seeing as we are now an old, married couple, Jay and I decided to try out this fun little book to reignite the spark of our youthful days. The book has 101 ideas for romantic (read "clothed" so don't worry, everything here is PG. Mostly ... ) encounters. Each page is sealed separately, so you don't know what the event will be until you rip it out of the book.

Well ... much to the chagrin of he who wanted to watch James Bond reruns ... I can confirm that one person is able to watch the Beijing closing ceremonies at least four times in a single day.

And never tire of seeing Jackie Chan sing his heart out.
