Look at THIS.

THIS is a start list for our official training in Igls, Austria. There are SEVENTY-SIX people on this start list. Do you know how long it takes 76 people to do three runs? The answer is A LONG FREAKIN' TIME. Like, longer than it took me to do my bangs in grade seven.

Let me tell you something about Igls.

I. HATE. THIS. TRACK. Send me to Altenberg any day of the week, thank you very much.

Two race days in Altenberg ... and two more 6th place finishes. No one can accuse me of inconsistency this year ...

Okay. So THAT was the scariest run of my life.

As we were warming up for our training runs today, the fog rolled in, which I didn't think much of, considering it didn't look a whole lot different from Winterberg last week.

Okay ... so the guys are right ... the place that we are staying at in Altenberg is straight out of a horror film. We had to drive in the dark, through the forests and hills of East Germany, to a tiny little town called Schellerhau, 20 kms from the Czech border, where we finally happened upon our "resort" hotel, the Stephanshohe.

Across the street is a little church, with a graveyard.

Check it ... five Canadians went down the track, and all came up the outrun unscathed. Altensmash? Ha. You will know be known as Alten-Who's-Your-Daddy?-Oh-yeah-that's-right-I-AM-berg.
