So yesterday I went to a really big (big in a numbers kinda way, like 1000-people big) luncheon that was attended by about 999 people who are more important than me.

It's like a bad rerun ... on a much larger scale.

This week was one of the most freakin'-wicked-sweet-awesome weeks ... EVER!

I got to forerun for the the first World Cup skeleton races ever held at the new track in Whistler.

I was running low on pictures of me hanging my head in defeat, so here's one of me walking the Cesana track a few days earlier. Sigh ... those were happier times ...

Well, it wasn't the way I wanted to finish my Europa Cup circuit, but a lousy race happens to everyone.

Last night I was filling in my track logbook, where I keep a tally of every run I have ever done, and realized that during the next day's training I would reach my 500th run.

Last night we got to Cesana Pariol, home of the 2006 Torino Olympics bob and skeleton track. We have a few days before we start sliding, and my coach and I walked around town, stopping in at the little information centre. I about fell over with excitement when I discovered they had one of the Olympic torches there on a stand in the window.
