For the record, I am well aware that the profile is not my strongest orientation in terms of photogenic angles. Thanks for that dad.
Today was our last day of sliding in Calgary, and my wrestling-name-partner -in-crime Rob, aka The Mighty Shadow, and I, aka Ivory Nova, took the last two runs of our session and season.
Thus concludes one hard-hitting week of sliding.

Dude, on Friday we went to the Snowboarding Half Pipe World Cup semifinals at COP. These shredders were totally ripping it up - man, this one guy dropped in goofy and his first hit was a Chicken Wing McTwist, then he totally threw a huge backside 1040. Can you believe it? Man, it was totally sick.
Also sick, my wicked shredder shots:

So late one Friday night a while back, Jay and I were watching the only channel we get in Squamish, which meant we were watching WWE pro wrestling, and there was this huge (no, seriously, I mean huge ... 6 foot 9 ... 430 pounds) black dude called Big Daddy V.
So Jay looks at Big Daddy V., then looks at me and says "If I were a wrestler, I would go by the name 'The Great White North.'"
OK, if you have met my hubby, you know right away that this is the BEST wrestling name ever. EVER.

One of my speedy teammates and I have decided to challenge each other to sub-5.60 start time next season (My current PB start is 5.64 seconds).
In honour of that challenge, we decided to finish off this week with a little warm up bet: First person to get under 5.70 before the week is out has to buy the other lunch at McDees (the restaurant of choice for future Olympians ... )
