Lo and behold, I have purchased a ... P-P-P-P ..... P-P-Pur .... ummm ... a handbag. I think even my fashion friend Leslie would approve of this one, even though I can't bring myself to utter that dreadful P-word. And really, why should I? If I give in to that, then I might have to start blow-drying my hair and next thing you know I'll be dressed in pink and wearing heels.

This is my brother Eric. He likes bacon. If you can believe it, he likes bacon more than me. And I ate 21 pieces of bacon for breakfast once.

Over the past few years of stocking stuffers his bacon-themed collection has grown: bacon style Band-Aids, bacon print luggage tags and the newly added piece-de-resistance, strawberry-flavoured Gummy Bacon.

Tomorrow is the first of our two races here in Park City. The track here is fast. Like, oh, say standard Montreal highway speeds fast. I clocked 124.1 kph in training today. And that's after arguments with two somewhat cantankerous corners, which like to leave me with some black and blue souvenirs before letting me by.

So if I manage enough coordination tomorrow to steer the sled away from the walls (as opposed to, you know, into them ... ) I am hoping to break the sound barrier.
